Employers with workers in San Francisco must pay more next year to comply with the city’s health care spending law. Beginning on Jan. 1, 2012, employers with 100 or more employees in San Francisco will be required to spend $2.20 per hour per covered employee on health care, up from $2.06 in 2011. ACORD updated their forms in 2009 ACORD 25 – Certificate of Liability Insurance and ACORD 27 – Evidence of Property Insurance. We would like to share with you information on the ACORD form change. ACORD Form Change: The cancellation section on the ACORD Certificate of Insurance changed from “we will endeavor to mail” to “notice will be delivered in accordance with the policy provisions”. As a result, in order to accommodate a request by a Certificate Holder for cancellation notice we must endorse such notification rights onto the policy.
