Rate Decreases Continued

Workers’ Comp Fraud – New York Contractors Face Charges

A New York contractor and the sub-contractor he hired are both facing charges of workers’ compensation fraud following their arrests by New York State Police. An Albany, New York woman who removed all her belongings from her home the day before it mysteriously caught fire has pleaded guilty to insurance fraud.Kim M. Laporte, 39, later filed a $38,000 claim under her renter’s insurance policy.Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. The Hartford Unveils National Coastal Home Insurance Plan

Workers Comp claim frequency falls according to NCCI
